Engaging Activities and Technology Highlights

Verizon’s Innovation Day

The day featured dynamic presentations and demonstrations to showcase innovative communications solutions. A stage set up on Daikin Park’s field became the focal point for information sessions on key topics, including 5G, IoT, and cybersecurity. These sessions offered attendees valuable insights into the future of how technology enhances public safety and enterprise operations.

At the Innovation Showcase, Verizon Frontline revealed their latest mission-ready deployable assets. From the Tactical Command Trailer, used as a coordination hub during critical events like hurricanes or National Guard briefings, to the Can-Am “Mobile Connectivity Agile Vehicle” and the SPOT (Satellite Picocell on Trailer) trailer, it was clear that innovation is at the heart of public safety communications.

Notably, these assets were powered by ST Engineering iDirect’s MDM5010 satellite modem, a high-performance, flexible solution that delivers reliable connectivity for even the most bandwidth-intensive applications. With its advanced Quality of Experience (QoE), the MDM5010 ensures seamless communication for emergency responders, proving critical in operations where connectivity is non-negotiable.

Innovations for a Safer Tomorrow

Patty Roze, Vice President of Public Sector Sales, highlighted her team’s seamless delivery of integrated public safety communication solutions designed to meet the complex needs of state and local government agencies. Other key highlights include leveraging AI for network reliability and predictability, and the importance of network performance for emergency responders who need connectivity when it counts.

Building Connections Through Collaboration

A key component of the event was the networking opportunities it fostered. Attendees had the chance to engage with Verizon Frontline leadership, peers, and industry experts, sharing real-world scenarios that illustrate the incredible power of technological collaboration in public safety and enterprise communications.
